Buildwick Solutions started in 2017 with a straightforward observation: healthcare practices were drowning in disconnected tools. Phones that didn't talk to scheduling systems. Patient data scattered across platforms. Teams spending more time on workarounds than on patient care.
We started as a custom software development shop — building scalable platforms, cloud infrastructure, and API integrations for clients across technology, enterprise, and healthcare. Over 150 projects and 50+ clients later, one theme kept coming back: the practices we worked with needed more than custom builds. They needed a product.
That's how Vortex was born. We took everything we'd learned from years of building healthcare technology — the integration patterns, the compliance requirements, the operational pain points — and packaged it into a single platform that handles calls, patient communication, marketing attribution, and practice analytics. All HIPAA-compliant. All in one place.
Today, Buildwick operates as both a technology services company and a product company. We still build custom software for organizations that need it. And we continue to invest in Vortex as the practice operating system we wish existed when we started.
We're based in North Carolina, our engineering team works across US time zones, and we take pride in building technology that actually solves the problems it claims to solve — no buzzword fluff, no vaporware features.
